Inspired by a memorable hike along the Howth Coastal Trails in Ireland, “Beacon Above The Irish Sea” captures the overwhelming sense of vastness I experienced when I first reached the top of the cliffs.
Before me, the sky, the lush green of the cliffs, and the turquoise waters below seemed to melt into one another, creating a breathtaking landscape that felt endless. In the distance, Bailey Lighthouse stood as a quiet, steadfast presence against the infinite expanse of the ocean. The air was cool, crisp, and light. Standing there, I felt a deep sense of awe, humble by a landscape so distant from anything familiar to me, yet so majestic and beautiful.
Through this painting I hope to share a little of that feeling of wonder, sense of freedom and tranquility.
