“ Cotton Candy Sky” is an original 8”x10” oil painting on linen panel beautifully presented in a simple yet elegant black and gold plein air frame. Framed this painting’s dimensions are 14”x16 1/2”.
Inspired by the swirling pastel hues of a late afternoon sky over the beautiful beaches of Kona, Hawaii. “ Cotton Candy Sky” captures a moment when pinks and blues melt together, blending seamlessly with the turquoise waters of the ocean to create an unforgettable site.
I wanted to capture more than just the colors of this beautiful beach. I wanted to bring to life the feeling of the warm summer breeze, the gentle sound of the palm trees swaying to the rhythm of the wind, and the beautiful stillness of a quiet late afternoon by the ocean.
I hope this painting brings you a sense of peace, serenity, and appreciation for the beauty that surround us in nature. Kona is definitely a place I would love to return to, and through this painting, I can revisit that beautiful moment again and again.
